Overall the food in New Zealand was very good and I was mostly impressed. They don't seem to cut corners and even lower priced places produce quality food! Bravo, NZ. The food reminded me of California but with small twists here and there. They were spot on with their gluten free options which made me glad. I'm going to go through some of my favorite things we ate.... 1. Absolute favorite thing was the Rhubarb Toasted Cardamom Creme Brulee that I unfortunately ate too fast to take a picture of, oops. We had it at the end of our meal at Cafe Hanoi in Aukland. There was perfectly sweetened and cooked rhubarb on the bottom topped with the creme brulee base with just a hint of toasted cardamom. And the toasted sugar topping was perfection. I didn't stop talking about it the entire trip. 2. Little and Friday is a hip breakfast spot we were recommended in Aukland and we loved it.
